Sonoma State soccer: Curtin named CCAA player of the week

Scoring three goals to help keep Sonoma State undefeated, Cara Curtin was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.

The senior from Maria Carrillo and Santa Rosa Junior College scored twice in a tie with Cal State Stanislaus. Curtin then added a goal in the Seawolves’ win over Cal State East Bay.

Curtin, an NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer All-American last season, is among conference leaders. Curtin is tied for second in goals and tied for third in scoring.

Sonoma State is 5-0-1 and ranked No. 16 in the NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.
