Derek Murphy rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lift St. Vincent to a 27-8 win over Emery in North Central II/Bay Football League play in Emeryville.

The winners improved to 2-1 in the league and 4-2 overall. Emery is 2-2 and 5-3.

Murphy scored from four yards out on St. Vincent’s second possession to start things. His second score led to the Mustangs’ 14-0 halftime lead.

Linebacker Kyle Dannewits led the Mustangs with 9 tackles, two for losses.

Quarterback Jack Richardson completed 7 of 11 passes for 91 yards, while rushing for 55. One carry was a 30-yard TD run.

TOMALES 32, STELLAR PREP 22

At Hayward, Anthony Feliciano rushed 21 times for 178 yards and three touchdowns as the Braves improved to 2-1 in the NCL II/Bay Football standings. They’re 5-2 overall.

David Guerrero caught a 28-yard TD pass from Joel Gutierrez for Tomales. Guerrero had 96 yards rushing on 10 tries.
Danny Moretti had three sacks for Tomales. Dante Feliciano’s sack put the game away late.

POINT ARENA 72, RINCON VALLEY CHRISTIAN 36

The Pirates had a big win to improve to 3-2 in the North Central League III 8-man league. Rincon Valley Christian is 3-2 in the league and 3-4 overall.
