Empire prep football programs look to develop young players for the future with two flag football camps.

Piner hosts a camp Sunday. St. Vincent is the site for the next camp, on March 23.

Both camps are open to players ages kindergarten through eighth grade. Camp times are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. There is no cost to participate.

Focusing on the fundamentals of football, the camps feature instruction in running, throwing, pass catching, and defensive basics.

The goal is learning the game while keeping football fun and safe.

The camps are the start for flag football leagues under the Future Leaders of American Gridiron football.

The Piner league begins in April and at St. Vincent in May.
