Sonoma Academy is seeking a coach to lead the school’s new tennis program, and also a head baseball coach.

Tennis is the ninth varsity sport now offered by the small private high school in Santa Rosa. The Coyotes will field both boys and girls varsity teams. The squads play a spring season when other CMC schools compete in tennis.

Sonoma Academy also has teams in: Boys and girls soccer; boys and girls cross country; girls volleyball; boys and girls basketball; baseball; boys and girls track and field; boys and girls lacrosse; and equestrian.

The varsity baseball vacancy opened when last year’s coach, Travis Babin, moved up to coach at Hartnell College, a community college in Salinas. The former Sonoma State standout also had been a Seawolves assistant and youth coach.

Coaching applicants must contact athletic director Chris Ziemer: chris.ziemer@sonomaacademy.org or 636-2468.
