Notable: Analy is the best team in the Redwood Empire. That’s the opinion of Prospectors coach John Antonio. “They’re strong everywhere,” he said. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to play the best in our area.” … While Antonio has praise for the Tigers, he’s not conceding the game. “I think we can play with them. We can’t wait to get on the field. We’ve got a couple of surprises in our bag.” … Tyler Okiyama (73 percent completions) and Tony Martignoli (eight touchdown passes) continue to do well sharing quarterback duties for the Prospectors…Isiah Carter is averaging 15.5 yards per carry. … Piner’s leading tackler is Jesse Buboc with 33. With 32 are: Henry Ahcing, Mark Ainger and Peter Barbieri (five sacks). … Analy’s top tacklers with 39 apiece are Isaac Kangas and TJ Acheson. … The Tigers offense is averaging 51 points per game. … QB Will Smith has thrown for 15 touchdowns. He also does the punting with a 36-yard average. … Kerr Johnson, Jr. has caught six scoring tosses and Malcolm Jenkins has five to his credit. … Ja’narrick Jones is Analy’s leading rusher with 11 yards per touch. He’s scored seven times.

Notable: The Mustangs have the stingiest defense in NCL II, allowing 98 yards per game. … Upper Lake has yet to score in 2014. … St. Vincent running back George Sammon has been over the 100-yard mark in consecutive games. … When Manny Reyes intercepted three passes against Calistoga, it was the most by a Mustangs player since 2002 (Mitch Johnson). … Sean Healy leads the home team in tackles with 35, six more than Just Sablik. … At halftime, the St. Vincent Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome in members of the 1974 team (league champions).

Notable: Eagles quarterback Daniel Maples has only played in three games and already has 10 touchdown passes to his credit. “He’s a great athlete,” coach Robert Gray said. “He’s a senior now and he’s progressed every year.” Maples passes for an average of 243 yards per game and rushes for 101. … Morgan Giuseponi has caught six scoring passes while Paul Bartholow has four. … Potter Valley quarterback Chris Salinas is putting up impressive numbers. On offense, he has 16 TDs and 886 rushing yards. On defense, he leads the team with 43 solo tackles.
