Quarterback Dayton Edwards passed for 313 yards and three touchdowns, two to sophomore wide receiver Robert Kirvin, as the Eagles defeated De Anza College, 55-25, at Cupertino on Saturday.

The Eagles improved to 2-2. De Anza fell to 1-3.

Kirvin caught seven passes for 108 yards and Marcus Hansen and Clinton Haglund each caught six passes as the Eagles piled up 434 total yards.

Mendocino's Brent Barstow gained 78 yards on 22 carries and scored twice, as did Edwards, who carried eight times for 35 yards.

De Anza quarterbacks Justin Johnson and Mike Silva combined to complete 22 of 48 for 237 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Eagles travel to Monterey Peninsula next Saturday before returning home against Feather River College Oct.8.
