Kramer steps down at Windsor

Steve Kramer has resigned after more than a decade building the Windsor High boys’ basketball program into a perennial section playoff participant.

The Windsor High physical education teacher wants to spend more time with his growing family, giving up the nearly year-round demands of coaching and player development.

“To run a successful program there’s not a whole lot of down time,” Kramer said. “With our family it’s just too much. It’s a lot when you’ve got two young ones running around.”

Granted, Russotti needed an elastic harness, looped around Muhammad’s waist, to keep the basketball prodigy below the rim.
It was one of the many forms of abuse that Russotti inflicted on Muhammad in the Sonoma Academy gym Sunday, all in an attempt to make the 18-year-old an unstoppable basketball machine.
